Drew Romanowski Appointed Head Coach of Columbia Football, East Greenbush, NY
Mr. Drew Romanowski has been appointed the Head Coach of Columbia Football by the Board of Education. Coach Romanowski, a graduate of Columbia, and resident of the district, returned to the district with his wife and family and the goal of taking Columbia Football to a high level of achievement.
Coach Romanowski played East Greenbush Pop Warner football as a youth, then played 4 years of Columbia Football during his high school years. He was a member of the Times Union All Start team in his senior year, and played at the Senior bowl, as well as earning the Scholar-Ahtlete award. After graduation, Coach Romanowski played 4 years at Cortland State, was a varsity starter for 3 years and a captain in his senior year.
Coach Romanowski has an extensive career as a Football Coach, with 3 years in the NCAA Division III with a play off berth in 1998. He also was an assistant coach in High School for 8 years, and was part of the Coaching Team that won the class AA Massachusetts High School Championship in2005 as well making it to the playoffs in 2006 and 2008. Coach Romanowski has been an Assistant Coach at the varsity level for Columbia Football for the last 3 years.
Coach Romanowski teaches Social Studies and Economics at Columbia High School.
