			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Columbia Football will be holding their annual  Kickoff BBQ, Friday, August 27, 2010, 6PM.  We will be tailgating at Budnowski Field.  The Football Booster Club will be providing the burgers, hotdogs, roll, condiments and paper products.  Senior Players should bring salads, Junior players should bring drinks, Sophomore players should bring desserts and Freshmen should bring chips. Everyone should bring chairs.</p>
<p>Families should plan on arriving between 5:30-5:45, to help set up the food, early help is needed at 4:30 for cooking and set up.  Players will come directly from practice.</p>
<p>The Annual Football Kickoff BBQ celebrates the end of double sessions, and kicks off the football season. All players are expected to attend, and invite their whole family to the celebration.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Week 9 is the final week of the football season</strong>.  Three Columbia Teams;  Varsity, Freshman and Modified play their final games of the 2009 season this week. JV played has played their last game of the season.</p>
<p><strong>Varsity </strong>will play their final game of the 2009 season on Thursday, October 29 at 7 pm against CBA on Budnowski field. Varsity will hold their final team meal of the 2009 season on Wednesday, after the last practice.  Thank you to all the varsity families for supplying food, drinks and desserts for the team through the season.  Special thanks to Allison Talar for coordinating the team meals.</p>
<p><strong>Modified </strong>will play their final game of the 2009 season on Saturday, October 31 at 10 am against Troy on Budnowski field.</p>
<p><strong>Freshman </strong>play at Saratoga on Tuesday, October 27 at 4 pm, and then play the final game of Columbia&#8217;s season on Saturday, October 31 at 1 pm against Scotia.  This will be the last game of the double header on Budnowski field that day.</p>
<p>*** The annual banquet will be held on Friday, November 6 at Columbia.  All players are free and encouraged to come and celebrate the season with the Columbia Football family.</p>
<p><strong>Equipment return</strong>: All players are required to wash all of their uniform pieces: practice pants and jersey, game pants, and home and away jerseys and return them to Coach Cavotta&#8217;s classroom at Columbia in a plastic bag labeled with their name.  Modified players will return their uniforms to Coach Bresnahan. Thank you for taking good care of Columbia uniforms!</p>
