Fund Raising
Columbia Football supports 4 levels of football by active fund raising.
The East Greenbush Central School District provides a professionally trained coaching staff, a premier turf field and stadium facility; Budnowski Field, as well as practice fields at Columbia and Goff. Busing to away games, referee fees, and announcing at varsity games are also provided by the district. The district also provides a weight room and team rooms at both Columbia and Goff. Many uniforms, equipment and insurance are also provided by the district.
The Columbia Football Booster Club supplements the activities of the district. Our fund raising supports uniforms to the teams, coach’s training, team incentives and activities, miscellaneous fees, video equipment, banquets and awards for all levels.
The primary fund raiser is the Columbia “Gold Card” a discount card. Each player is assigned to sell a specific number of cards on an annual basis.
Columbia Football also sells sports wear at a price slightly higher than cost. A 50-50 raffle is run at the home games, and some special raffles are run as goods are donated to the program.
Corporate sponsorships are available, allowing businesses to support the team, and bring the company’s message to thousands of football fans.
The Concession stand provides a large amount of support to the Football program.
In addition, Columbia football runs an annual bake sale at the meeting the coaches night and on occasion.
